Sensi / Data logging
Industrial data logging, without the data logger hassle
Stop driving to site to download a logger. Sensi records your process values automatically as they change, keeps them safely in the cloud, and lets you look back over hours, days or months from your desk.
How Sensi logs your data
- Readings are recorded automatically whenever a value changes
- A deadband per sensor skips tiny changes, so noisy signals do not fill the log
- Each reading is stored with its time and quality, so bad values are never mistaken for real ones
- Gateways buffer readings during network outages and send them later
- Readings are kept for 12 months by default, longer on request
Get the data out when you need it
Download any period as a spreadsheet for your own analysis, or as a PDF report for a client or regulator. Reports can also be emailed automatically every day, week or month.
Minimum, average and maximum values are worked out for you, along with how long each reading spent outside its normal range.
Connects to common industrial protocols
Sensi logs data from Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU devices, OPC UA servers, MQTT devices, and Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron and Delta PLCs through a supported industrial IoT gateway.
Common questions
What is the difference between a data logger and Sensi?
A traditional data logger stores readings on the device, and someone has to collect them. Sensi sends readings to the cloud as they happen, so they are available straight away, from anywhere, with alarms and reports on top.
Can I export logged data to Excel?
Yes. Any time range can be downloaded as a CSV file, which opens in Excel and other spreadsheet programs.
What happens if the internet connection drops?
Supported gateways keep the readings while the connection is down and send them once it returns, so the log stays complete.
